Many people in Rossmoor don’t have a travel partner – this doesn’t need to keep you from getting out there and going to the places you’ve always wanted to see. Group travel with the Rossmoor Travel Club is an excellent way for you to experience the world while enjoying the company of like-minded individuals.
First and foremost, the club gives members opportunities to meet travel buddies. After the long layoff caused by the pandemic, we will have more social meetings and meet & greets.
To get that started, we will have a solo’s meeting on June 29th in the club room at Creekside with featured speaker Laurie McAndish King. Laurie is an award-winning travel writer and photographer whose stories have aired on NPR and been published in Lonely Planet, Travelers’ Tales, and other literary anthologies. Her articles and photography have also appeared in the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Smithsonian magazine. She is also the author of three books about her travels.
We’re excited to have Laurie, who is a big fan of group travel, sharing her experiences & observations with the club. Refreshments will be served after she speaks, and there be time to get to know some of your fellow club members.
